Grandpa versus Future

10 Mar

My grandpa has the ability to talk about death without turning a hair, mainly his own. He looks to be just waiting -in a positive way- for the final moment.

I have always thought I couldn’t live more than 70 years and spend three decades (our generation is supposed to live 100 years) trying to be alive eating purée and playing petanque waiting for the moment. That’s why I liked this: Holland proposes giving over-70s the right to die if they ‘consider their lives complete‘. The proposal includes the right to have assisted suicide for anyone over 70 who wants to. A risky step-forward since they legalized euthanasia. Isn’t that amazing?

My grandpa laughs at me when I tell him that we are descended from apes -don’t get him wrong, it’s not his fault of having lived under Franco’s dictatorship-, but I can’t guess what he would think about it.

ahahaha Mr Won you are the best. I like your style xD You always talk about interesting, hard and shocking topics. As usual I am not agree with you at all ;) But you know…I am desagree because the death is still something strange which makes me be afraid :S

I think that all the old people when they grow and reach that age (around 70) they behave as they dont care about the death and they say that it doesnt matter for him to leave this life…but I am sure they so afraid and they dont want to leave their people, their home and their belongings….

Mr Won the Netherlands is definitly your country, I am looking forward to hear your stories next year ;)

Of course you don’t agree with me, I don’t know why I’m not surprised XDDDDDD (But I love it, you know that)

I don’t think that all the elders behave like that only because they’re afraid (I disagree xD) You have to try to conciliate your spirit with the death, and accept it as part of your life (or just as the end). I never thought I would find an atheist with fear of death!

My point now is: I have to enjoy every tiny thing of my life because death is NEAR! (specially near to your bonsai LOL)

I know The Netherlands is my country (I knew it the first time I visited Amsterdam). But how about yours? UK perhaps? Or do you prefer to be an international citizen? :P

I don’t know what I would do if his thoughts were in a negative way…
